Granville Island with Amber and Clyde

Decided to have lunch on Granille Island today. We got there by water taxi. Tried eating at the Swiss Olympic building as we wanted the cheese fondue but unfortunately the 2 tons of cheese they ordered got stranded due to an extreme snowstorm in Newforundland. So we hiked on and ended up at Sammy J Peppers.
Took the new Streetcar "Bomadier" back. Didn't seem to be worth the City of Vancouver's $8.5 million investment . The 2 Bombardiers are here on loan from Belgium and the track will eventually run from Cambie to downtown and Stanley Park to extend Vancouver's transit network.

Monthly Wine Update

Last night Susan and I met for our monthly wine tasting. This time we went to the Town Hall on Alberni Street and shared a wonderful bottle of Malbec, Ranacer Punto Final Classico from Argentina, and it was a very good choice. I highly recommend this pub, great food and a wonderful atmosphere. Staff are all very friendly and efficient. First we stopped at the Vancouver Art Gallery for a little photo shoot in front of their newest exhibit.
I enjoy our monthly get togethers as we get a chance to update each other as what we are doing in our lives and share some laughs, actually quite a few laughes. See you next month Susan....
